Answer: Islam is the name of being guided on the earth by humbly obeying and surrendering to Allah. “Mohammadi Islam” is the religion preached by the greatest man of all time, Hazrat Muhammad (PBUH). It is the best religion chosen by Allah. This is the provision that our kind Prophet (PBUH) preached to the people of the world for the peace, welfare, and liberation of mankind. Founded on five pillars, this Mohammadi Islam contains the self-sufficient life of mankind. Allah says in verse 19 of Surah Al-Imran, “Undoubtedly, Islam is the only system acceptable to Allah as a way of life for the human being.” It fully contains how a person should conduct his daily life, how to purify himself by refraining from all bad deeds, i.e., achieve self-purification, and how to attain peace by attaining the satisfaction of the great creator. The overall meaning of Islam is surrender (to Allah). There is no alternative to living on the path of this ideal shown by the Prophet. It will be easily understood if we look at verse 102 of Surah Al-Imran of the Holy Quran. There Allah says, “Do not die except as surrenderers.”
