Answer: The word Islam means peace. Islam is the name of establishing unity with creation by humbly obeying the Creator, in other words: surrendering to God. Prophets sent by Allah have come to the world at different times and invited people to the Oneness of Allah. The religion preached by the Prophet over time is named after him. Just as the religion preached by Musa (PBUH) was called Musa-e-Islam, the religion preached by Isa (PBUH) was called Isa-e-Islam, similarly, the Islam preached by Muhammad (SAWS) is called Muhammadi Islam.
