Answer: Allah says in verse 3 of Surah al-Maida in the holy Quran, “Today I have organised (perfected) your religion (Islam as a way of life) for you, completed my contribution to you, and chosen Islam as your religion.” In this verse, the necessity of following the path of religion preached by the Prophet (PBUH) is clearly understood. If anyone is fortunate enough to accept Islam, he/she is basically favouring himself/herself. Allah says, “They think they have blessed you by accepting Islam (by becoming Muslims). Say (O Messenger! You) do not think that you have blessed me by becoming Muslims, but Allah has blessed you by guiding you to the path of faith, if you are truthful.” (Surah Hujurat, verse: 17). From the beginning of creation, all the Prophets and Messengers sent to the earth have invited human beings to the oneness of Allah (God), have shown the way to ensure peace in this time and the hereafter according to the instructions of Allah. Islam, i.e., the religion of total surrender to Allah, was fulfilled through the religion of “Mohammadi Islam” preached by the last Prophet Muhammad (PBUH). Therefore, there is no alternative to accepting the ideals of this religion and leading life accordingly.
