Kalima Tawheed is a detailed affirmation of Allah's absolute Oneness and His unique attributes. Its spiritual reality (Haqiqah) leads to a deeper understanding of Allah's nature, freeing the believer's heart from all forms of polytheism and attachment. Reciting it with comprehension cultivates profound Iman within Muhammadi Islam.
It emphasises that Allah is truly One, without any partners, equals, or associates in His essence, attributes, or actions. This frees the heart from any form of polytheism (shirk) and directs all devotion exclusively to Allah.
"To Him belongs the Dominion" affirms that Allah alone possesses absolute control and ownership over all creation. No one can share in His dominion — not a king, a prophet, nor any angel or created being.
"He gives life and causes death" highlights Allah's sole power over existence, reminding the believer of His ultimate authority over life's cycle. Every breath is a gift from Him alone.
"He is the Living, who will never die, Everlasting" underscores Allah's eternal and self-sustaining nature, contrasting with the transient nature of creation. All of creation is temporary — Allah alone is permanent.
"In His Hand is all goodness" instills complete trust and reliance on Allah (tawakkul), recognising that every blessing, mercy, and provision originates from Him and returns to Him.
